Code of Conduct, Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy for ONLINE TUITION
To ensure the safety of pupils the following terms must be agreed to:
All tuition sessions must take place in a communal area where the session can be monitored by the pupil’s parent / responsible adult.
Appropriate clothing must be worn for sessions.
The email address used for tuition communication should be in the parent / responsible adult’s name. Where resources are shared with a pupil electronically, consent will be gained from the parent / responsible adult and all resources will be accessible to the adult on request. The TEAMS platform will be used for tuition and an invite and password will be emailed before the session.
The parent / responsible adult will ensure the pupil does not engage in inappropriate communication with the tutor outside the tuition sessions.
Should any inappropriate communication be received the parent / responsible adult will be advised.
Documents for the sessions will be emailed to the agreed email address before a lesson and the emailing of homework back is permitted.
There will be no recording of any sessions except by prior agreement in writing.
Any concerns regarding safeguarding and child protection issues will be reported in line with government guidelines and Dyslexia Direct Services Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
